Bronwyn Hersen

Bronwyn is relatively new to the sport of Boxing. Is NCCP Certified in Coaching Athletes with a Disability. However, she is an athlete with 8 years of competitive swimming experience. Bronwyn qualified as an athlete for the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association (OFSAA) Swimming Championships in 2014 and 2015. Bronwyn also played catcher at the Conference of Independent Schools of Ontario Athletic Association (CISAA)-winning Softball teams for 6 years.
Being a member of these teams gave Bronwyn the opportunity to develop her athletic abilities, as well as her teamwork and leadership skills. In 2015 she was awarded her school’s Caney Cup for excelling in swimming while fostering a supportive team environment through leadership, dedication, and school spirit. After ending her competitive swimming career, Bronwyn has worked as a swim instructor and lifeguard providing lessons to children and adults of all ages and abilities. Bronwyn also studied tap, contemporary dance, and ballet, at Canadian Children’s Dance Theatre.
Bronwyn strongly believes that participation in physical activity has the power to greatly reduce stress and encourage social interaction. She advocates for the right of every person to benefit from the positive effects of sports and exercise, regardless of their abilities or unique needs.
Bronwyn has loved getting to know all of the amazing boxers on the Fierce N Fit Boxing team. She looks forward to seeing their smiling faces every week!
